The Brand Perception
There is no reality, Only perception exists. Phil McGraw
What you perceive is your reality; what I perceive is my reality. There is no reality as such; the only perception there is.
Brand perception, also known as brand image, is a special result of an audience’s experiences with a brand. In other words, The image of a company’s brand, which owners expect audiences to see, may not be what they exactly see. Companies often assume they know how their customers feel about them, and most of the time, they believe it to be more positive than it is.
According to a study, even though 80% of companies say they provide great experiences, only about 8% of customers agree. By measuring reliably, companies get an honest look at the factors driving and killing brand loyalty. Therefore consumers, not brands own brand perception. Regardless of your message, whatever people are thinking and saying about your brand, that is your brand.
Brand perception is highly pivotal to marketing strategies. Customers make judgment calls about your brand when they read an online review, make a purchase, talk to employees, read a news story, or hear about a friend’s experience.
All of these interactions, combined with the messaging you control, make up a customer’s brand perception.
If you want to know what people think of you, there are several tactics you can use to measure brand perception efficiently. Let’s mention the three important of them:
1- Social media posts
You can receive impressive results as people are increasingly using social media to research products they want to buy. Try to respond and analyze all of them.
2- Online reviews
People trust reviews; almost more than 90% of buyers are more likely to purchase after reading a trusted review. Read the reviews and encourage happy customers to share their opinions publicly.
3- Google Alerts
You tell Google what keywords you’d like to monitor; like your company’s name, a specific product, service you offer, and so on. Anytime those keywords appear online, and Google will send you an email alert.
